Mike Almes
Mike is a Risk Control Consultant with Westfield Insurance, a regional insurance company based in northeast Ohio and operating in 18 states. Mike is currently based in our Cleveland, Ohio Service Office.
Prior to joining Westfield in 2003, Mike worked for a large national carrier in their National Risks Division, with career time spent in New York, Pennsylvania, and Ohio. Mike has experience working in the property and casualty environment of the insurance industry since 1989 and has a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Occupational Health and Safety Management. Mike has worked extensively in a risk control capacity with Transportation, Manufacturing and Construction customers throughout his career.
Dan Cieslak, SCLA
Dan is a Claims Services Consultant with Westfield Insurance located in Orlando, Florida. Dan brings over 37 years of multi-line claims experience having worked with several national carriers in various management positions. Dan received his B.A. degree in Business Administration from the University of Central Florida. He also has his Senior Claims Law Associate designation from the American Educational Institute.
Suzanne Coleman
Suzanne is a Senior Risk Control Representative with Westfield Insurance, operating out of the Nashville, Tennessee service office. Prior to joining Westfield Insurance 5 years ago, Suzanne worked for a large national carrier in their National Risks division. Suzanne specializes in Workers’ Compensation and Fleet Safety, and is currently an authorized Outreach trainer for the OSHA 10 and 30 hour General Industry courses.
Steve Damsker
Steve is a Senior Risk Control Representative out of Westfield's Duluth, Georgia office. He has more than 30 years of risk control experience. His background includes 22 years in corporate risk control and insurance industry experience with AIG, Marsh and CNA, as a risk control representative. Steve specializes in manufacturing, workers compensation and fleet safety. Steve is an authorized OSHA Outreach trainer for both the General Industry and Construction Safety 10 & 30 hour courses.
Kim Derthick
Kim has over 17 years of Risk Control experience with national carriers Kemper, Royal & Sun Alliance and PMA Insurance Group. She has a multi-line background for all lines of coverage for a large range of clients including light/heavy manufacturing, transportation, contractors and service sectors.
Steve Dickerson
Steve is a Senior Risk Control Representative in Louisville, Kentucky. His experience includes health care risk management and property and casualty risk control with national carriers before coming to Westfield in 2007. Steve holds a B.S. in Health and Safety Management from Indiana State University.
Kirsten N. Hedden, ARM
Kirsten is a Risk Control Representative out of our Peoria, IL Service Office. She holds a B.A. in International Relations and Business from Bradley University in Peoria. Upon graduating, Kirsten entered an intensive insurance training program with a global carrier for 14 months and obtained experience in all insurance disciplines including claims, underwriting, and loss control. Kirsten has 5+ years experience providing loss control consultative services for a variety of industry exposures; specialties include hospitality, food and beverage manufacturing, religious institutions, and country clubs/golf courses.
Kirsten also attended the OSU intensive for insurance property training with a focus on fire protection and analysis of sprinkler system design. While not certified in ergonomics, Kirsten does have a vast understanding of body mechanics to assist with material handling and ergonomic assessment. Kirsten’s desire is to not only evaluate a risk, but to look at all customers with an eye towards continuous risk improvement, not only for the benefit of the insurance company, but for the greater good of all those that strive to make the world a safer place.
Jeff Hendershot
Jeff is a Board Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and NFPA Certified Fire Protection Specialist (CFPS) with degrees from Kent State University (BS- Industrial Technology) and Southern New Hampshire University (MBA). He has nearly 18 years broad-based experience in the Risk Control /Management field, and is currently a Westfield Property Specialist.
Jeff has over 15 years concentrated training/experience in the property conservation discipline working with HPR/HVR accounts to control/protect property hazards/exposure. Prior to working with insurance companies, Jeff worked in manufacturing, was a small business owner, and served with the US Army Reserve.
Mark McClain
Mark's expertise is mainly focused in the construction industry, as well as mining exposures. He was a risk control representative for regional and national insurance carriers for seven years before coming to Westfield. Mark's prior experience includes environmental consulting in asbestos management and remediation and work as a heavy highway estimating engineer.
Mark holds a Master of Science in Occupational Safety & Health Engineering and a B.S. in Civil Engineering.
Lisa Mundt
Lisa is a Senior Risk Control Representative for Westfield Insurance, a regional insurance company based in Northeast Ohio and operating in 18 states. Lisa is based out of our Atlanta, Georgia office.
Prior to joining Westfield, Lisa worked for St. Paul/Travelers. She has worked in a wide variety of risk control functions,serving customers in all areas such as small business, middle market and technology based operations. Lisa has completed both the CPCU (Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter) and ARM (Associate in Risk Management) designations. Her undergraduate degree was a business degree with a risk management and insurance major from the University of Georgia.
Tim Munoz
Tim is a Senior Risk Control representative in Westfield's Minnesota office. A graduate of the University of Iowa, he has 20 years experience in the property and casualty environment as a risk control rep, including as a regional risk control manager and territory field rep. Tim's responsibilities include large, high risk property, manufacturing and construction accounts.
Cynthia Roberts-Tamm
Cynthia is a Senior Risk Control Representative in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. She has over 22 years in the Risk Control field with most her career at Kemper Insurance and Fireman’s Insurance, where she focused on all lines of business. She also worked for the U.S. Army Material Command as a civilian Safety Specialist, primarily focused on chemical warfare research and demilling. Cynthia holds a B.S. in Police Administration wtih an emphasis on forensics and an A.A. in Fire and Protection Control with an emphasis on arson, both from Eastern Kentucky University.
Tom Russell
Tom Russell is a Senior Risk Control Representative for Westfield Insurance, based in Northeast Ohio and operating in 18 states. Tom is based out of the Cincinnati, Ohio service office. Prior to joining Westfield in 2005, Tom worked for several regional and national carriers. He has over 35 years of experience in both field risk control, as well as, management of a risk control department. Tom graduated from the University of Dayton with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Tom’s experience includes property evaluations, fleet safety and construction risks. Tom is currently a Westfield property specialist. Tom is a past president of the Southwest Ohio chapter of the American Society of Safety Engineers.
Tim B. Wilson
Tim is a Risk Control Consultant with Westfield Insurance, a regional insurance company based in northeast Ohio and operating in 18 states. Tim is currently based in our Jacksonville Florida Service Office.
Prior to joining Westfield 7 years ago, Tim worked for a large national carrier with career time spent in Alabama, Georgia, and Florida. Tim has over 30 years experience in the property and casualty environment of the insurance industry. Tim has a Bachelor's of Science Degree (Math), a Master of Science Degree (Personnel Counseling), and an MBA. Professional designations include CPCU, ARM, and ALCM. Tim has worked extensively in a risk control capacity with Transportation, Manufacturing and Construction customers throughout his career."
James Yale
Jim is a Senior Risk Control Representative out of St. Charles, Illinois. Jim brings 23 years of multi-line experience having worked with national carriers and an insurance agent in the areas of; Loss Control, Industrial Hygiene and managing/ servicing large national accounts. He holds a B.S. in Occupational Health and Safety and Industrial Technology from Illinois State University.
David Yeager, ALCM
David is a Risk Control Consultant in our Lancaster, Pennsylvania service office. He has worked since 1978 servicing a wide range of customers in the insurance and governmental sectors. He received his Bachelors of Science from Eastern Kentucky University in Fire Prevention & Control / Industrial Risk Management. He has worked since 1986 in the insurance industry. David also served as an officer in the U.S. Army and as a firefighter and fire inspector. His designations include the Associate in Loss Control Management.
